Donate Life Run/Walk

Founded in 2003, the Donate Life Run/Walk at Cal State Fullerton is the largest event of its kind in the nation. The event features an inspiring opening ceremony, competitive 5K run and healthy 5K/1K walk, followed by a Family Festival with food vendors, live entertainment, special activities for children and a raffle drawing.

The annual event was founded by local organizers Craig and Kathleen Hostert of Fullerton and is produced by an Orange County-based 40-member organizing committee. Kathleen, formerly an elementary school teacher and now OneLegacy's Communications Manager, donated a kidney to her husband Craig in 1998. Originally inspired by the Hosterts' desire to support friends they made at St. Joseph Hospital's dialysis center, the Donate Life Run/Walk welcomed more than 8,000 participants each of the last two years.
